Are you anticipating the road bumps ahead?

Are you anticipating the road bumps ahead and proactively making the maneuvers you need to achieve your goals?
Several years ago, I got my motorcycle license.
During the course one of the things that is burned into your memory is looking ahead 2-seconds, 4-seconds or 12-seconds. What does that exactly mean?
This is a minimum when conditions are ideal and you are paying close attention ahead.
This helps you react properly to conditions, whether approaching an intersection, rounding a curve, or following another vehicle.
Evaluate areas it would take you that long to reach. The idea is to have a big picture of the entire environment and to be aware of the overall traffic flow
How does this apply to us day to day?
80% of us give up our New Year Resolution by February.*
That indicates to me that most of us are living with a view of 2-secondsโฆmaybe 4 if weโre lucky.
And if weโre doing that in our business?
The likelihood of achieving that end of year revenue goal just got smaller.
Consider this:
โข 2-๐ฌ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐: Paying attention to whatโs right in front of you, when everything is ideal.
Paying attention to just whatโs up ahead, allowing you to react with a sense of urgencyโฆlimited view, looking at the next client meeting, the next partnership deal, or the next due date at work
Being intentional every single day, prioritizing and proactively taking actions that aligned with your goals for the year.
If you were operating with a 12-second view, what would be different in your business?
The likelihood is youโll be not only achieving that goal but exceeding it.
